In Reading Olympics, students will read eight pre-selected books. We will discuss a different book each week. Meetings take place Friday mornings from 8-8:30 a.m. Our first meeting will take place September 17.
Upon completing each book, students will complete a page in a Reading Olympics Journal. Please print a journal page for each book. The journal will allow students to log their reading and will assist them in recalling the details in the book. It will also serve as a study guide as they prepare for book challenges in December.
All students in third and fourth grades are welcomed to join Meadowbrook Running Club. Stay tuned for the start date of Running Club in 2020-21. The purpose of this club is to train for the Cellcom 5K (3.1 mile) and/or train for the Bellin 10K Run (6.1 mile) or to work on increasing your cardiovascular endurance.
Safety patrol is an opportunity for all 4th grade students to take on an additional responsibility role at Meadowbrook. Safety patrollers will help all students entering the school in the morning and exiting school at dismissal time. Safety patrollers will meet once a month with Mrs. Brunette to discuss how safety patrol members can help others be safe, respectful and responsible at Meadowbrook.
