The 4th graders at the Green Bay Community Campus competed in a holiday door decorations contest. The purpose of the competition was to work on the seven habits.

One habit we learned was habit 2, to begin with the end in mind. We worked on beginning with a picture of our door decorations in our head before we started working on decorating our door. That way, we could stay organized and would know what our final door would look like.

Another habit we worked on was habit 4, to think win-win. As a team, we had to agree what our door would look like in the end. If someone disagreed, we had to talk together and make a decision so we would all agree.

Lastly, we worked on habit 6, to Synergize. We all worked together and divided tasks evenly so all tasks were taken care of and worked together to make our door decorations.

To finalize the door decoration competition, the Green Bay Campus church staff voted on which door was best decorated. While the church staff loved all doors, the ultimate winner was Mrs. Bauknecht’s class. In reward, Mrs. Bauknecht’s class got special seating in the bleacher seats for a holiday movie.
